        

Caribbean Statistics Day
Guyana, will be joining other Caribbean Countries in observing CARIBBEAN STATISTICS DAY, which falls on Saturday 15th October, with a range of activities from Tuesday October 11 – Saturday October 15.
An outline of these activities, spanning October 11 - 15, are as follows:
October 11 -: Inter-School Quiz on Statistics
Venue: Regency Suites/Hotel
Address: 98 Hadfield Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown
Time: 09:00 – 12:00h
October 12 & 13 - Outreach visits to schools in Regions
3, 4, 5, 6 & 10 - distribution of brochures and souvenirs
October 14 (morning) - Open Day at BoS, where BoS staff and colleagues from
other government statistical units will invite the public to view a
mini exhibition of statistics and brochures, along
with Powerpoint presentations highlighting and promoting statistics
October 14 (afternoon) - Staff day; culminating with talent show
October 15 - Fun Day and Bar-B-Q at Banks DIH Ground, Thirst Park
Banners will be mounted at the BoS offices in Georgetown and Linden.

Gross Domestic Product, Inflation Rate among other statistics
for Guyana. This brochure was disseminated on Caribbean
Statistics Day to schools, government offices both (regional
