The Bureau of Statistics with technical assistance from Inter American Development Bank (IADB) and the Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC) has re-benchmarked and re-based Guyana’s National Accounts to reference year 2006.

Caribbean Statistics Day Concert
Guyana, like the rest of CARICOM, observed CARIBBEAN STATISTICS DAY on the 15th October, 2009. It was on this day that the Bureau of Statistics held a concert.more
Data End User's Workshop
The Data End User's Workshop was held from August 26th - 27th 2008 by the Bureau of Statistics at the Regency Suits Hotel in Georgetown. Participants were from both governmental and non governmental organisations.more
2010 Population & Housing Census
Guyana with the rest of Caricom has started preparaions for the 2010 round of population and housing censuses. Like the 2002 census, census 2010 will be conducted as part of the United Nations 2010 round of global population and housing censuses. more
